The Shenzhen Women's International Club (SWIC) is a social club for expatriates living in all areas of Shenzhen. SWIC provides a focus for social and cultural activities for members and is of particular value to newcomers by providing a means to meet other expats, find resources, and to learn about what activities are available in the city. Our members come from all parts of the world, many different nationalities, young and ‘older’, with and without children. Membership is limited to foreign passport holders or those who have a spouse with a foreign passport (per government guidelines).
Our current regular activities include Tuesday Coffee Mornings at Starbucks in Sea World (Shekou), monthly Lunch & Learns, weekly excursions, evening Book Club, tennis, mahjong, Mothers & Toddlers playgroup, a monthly Newcomers Coffee and annual events such as the Welcome Breakfast, Halloween Night, Christmas Ball, Family Scavenger Hunt, Easter Festival, a Theme Party, and a Summer Farewell Lunch. Weekly activities are driven by member interest and are communicated to members via our online forum. SWIC publishes a full-color, quarterly magazine and has a self-serve library located in Jingshan Villas.
