Hash House Harriers
What is the Shekou Hash? The Hash is a social get-together that revolves around going on a run or a walk, which is about an hour long. A different trail is planned each week, ranging in length and difficulty and are usually about an hour long. The run/walk is followed by a few beers or soft drinks, and then the group returns to the Shekou around 7 p.m. A dinner is planned every week and the cost at the restaurant is normally between 35 to 45 RMB.
The Shekou Hash House Harriers meets every Saturday come rain or shine at the The Snake Pit in Shekou at 1 p.m. and departs at 1:30 p.m. by private bus. The cost is 70 RMB for men, 50 RMB for women and 30 RMB for children, which includes the transport, beer, and soft drinks. The hike/run is around 2 hours long.
